Major Brian ‘NIL’ Nielsen joined the Danish Armed Forces in 1988 in the Army, transferring to the Royal Danish Air Force in 1992 to fly F-16 and later within the AIR C2 system. In 2001, he transferred to the Royal Netherlands Air Force to become an instructor pilot. First NATO tour in 2004 in a Combined Air Operations Centre, working in A5 PLANS and A7 E&T simultaneously. Afghanistan Veteran with three tours: 2007 ALO RC(S), 2008 NLD F-16 LNO ISAF HQ, and 2010 Air Planner RAOCC RC(S). Became a C-130H pilot in 2010, and in 2016 the ALO of the 11th Air Mobile Brigade. Working with SOF since 2008, designing and participating in the C-SOATG SOFEVAL. Presently the JPR/CSAR Staff Officer of CAOC UE and designated Dep PRCC Director of the NCS JFAC.
