5th Generation Aviation

The combination of low observable characteristics and integrated, fused avionics creates a platform that grants access to airspace that is otherwise denied. Additionally, 5th generation aircraft are force multipliers by sharing sensor data with other platforms to increase situational awareness and shorten the time required to find, fix, track, target, and engage threats across the air combat spectrum. NATO is embracing 5th generation aircraft through wide procurement of the F-35 which will become the basis of NATO airpower. JAPCC is ready to assist in the development of 5th generation air power throughout the NATO alliance.
