Lieutenant Colonel Karel Kolisek enlisted in the Czech Air Force in 1995. He graduated from the Brno Military Academy with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. Among other functions, he served as an air traffic control instructor of the 234th Prerov command support battalion. He was deployed with task force Hippo to Sharana – Afghanistan and joined the 370th Air Expeditionary Air Advisory Group in Bagdad. He also accomplished an assignment in the CAOC Uedem plans section as an AWACS planner and then worked as the head of the air traffic services section at Czech AF HQ. He currently serves in the Assessment, Coordination, and Engagement Branch and is responsible for the Plans, Concepts, Development, and Vision of the JAPCC.
