Dr.-Ing. Andreas Schütte started his career as a research scientist at the DLR Institute of Aerodynamics Flow Technology in 1998 in Braunschweig, Germany. His focus areas are vortical flows and fighter aircraft aerodynamics. Throughout the last 15 years, he has been actively involved in the NATO STO community as a researcher, German panel member, and from 2010 to 2013 as the AVT-Panel Executive Officer in Paris, France. In 2007, Dr.-Ing. Schütte worked at the US Air Force Academy, Colorado, US, at the Department of Aeronautics, where he was participating in a research exchange programme. Presently, being a project manager at DLR, he is responsible for one of the major military research programmes dealing with the design, performance assessment, and evaluation of fighter aircraft configurations on behalf of the German MoD.
