Prof. Dr. Russell M. Cummings is Professor of Aeronautics at the US Air Force Academy, Colorado, US. From 2015–2018 he was the Technical Director at AFOSR’s European Office of Aerospace Research & Development in London, UK. Dr Cummings is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering. He has been actively involved in NATO RTO/STO activities since 2001 and was the co-chair of several task groups, including AVT-251. Dr Cummings has previously worked at Hughes Aircraft Company, NASA Ames Research Center, and California Polytechnic State University, and was a Visiting Senior Scientist at DLR in Braunschweig during 2008. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
