Lieutenant Colonel Van de Weerd has served for more than 40 years in the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). He served in various fighter related weapon system support positions at depots and staff positions at the RNLAF Headquarters and the Defense Material Command. He dealt with Foreign Military Sales challenges and contributed to the development of F-35 Global Support Solution. Furthermore, he served as an A4 at the former RNLAF Operations Center. He gained his joint logistics expertise as a J4 planner at the MOD dealing with various operations. Currently, he holds the position of Subject Matter Expert Logistics at the Joint Air Power Competence Centre in Kalkar, Germany.
