Lieutenant Colonel Javier Aguilar Gonzalez joined the Air Force in 1999. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 2004, he was assigned to the 48th Wing, 803 PR Squadron. He completed six tours in Afghanistan during ISAF as a MEDEVAC pilot. After three years in the Spanish Helicopters’ School, 78th Wing – Armilla, Granada, he was posted again at the 48th Wing and appointed Commander of the 803rd Squadron. After attending the Spanish Staff Officer School, Lieutenant Colonel Aguilar was assigned to the Air Plans & Policy Division in the Air Staff and eventually was posted at the European Personnel Recovery Centre (EPRC) as the Education Manager. He currently serves in the Spanish Air Staff as Chief of the Digital Transformation Section.
